Afghan Education for a Better Tomorrow (AEBT) is sponsoring its 2nd Annual Afghan Arts and Culture Festival on September 4, 2011, at Washington, DC's National Mall - see the attached poster.
AEBT has two important new vocational training projects for destitute widowed mothers in the outskirts of Kabul ready to go and needs funding:
* a computer skills class that would allow literate widows to become employable
* a midwifery training program that can, not only employ widowed mothers, but also help lower the incredibly high mortality rate of mothers and babies at delivery.
Please help us by calling on your friends and potential donors and encouraging them to help us reach out goal. For more information please contact Sylvia Dickinson, Secretary of the AEBT Board of Directors (sd@rosylo.com, 650-814 0906), or go to their web site, www.afghaneducation.org
